we begin to paint our cracks with gold.”

Core Process Psychotherapy

Core Process Psychotherapy integrates the wisdom of Eastern philosophy and mindfulness, along with western psychotherapeutic practice and body awareness. .

Awareness is key to change and healing

Mindfulness based Psychotherapy works with the power of our awareness in the present moment to explore the nature of who we are and how we relate to ourselves and others particularly when we are experiencing challenge or difficulty. Often when we lack awareness our past intrudes upon our present experience, which can lead to keeping us stuck in repetitive patterns of self-destructive ways of being. We all find ways to distract and numb ourselves to block out our painful feelings and in doing so we also block our feelings of aliveness and our innate capacity to give and receive love. When we bring awareness to our experience we can become clearer about what is really going on.

A warm welcome…

I am a Core Process psychotherapist who believes inherent health resides at the core of every individual. I am a member of the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists (ACPP), and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP).

We bring awareness to the present moment by slowing down and listening to our embodied experience.

Mindful awareness can gently build the capacity to allow kind attention into areas of our being that we have habitually turned away from. In learning to reside in the present moment we bring our attention to what we are experiencing in our body, with our feelings and our states of mind. This allows for the possibility of moving from a place of reaction - where you act from outdated habits - to a place of response, where you create the space in yourself to be able to choose.
